Core faction rules control the expected Factions experience: creating factions, joining, claiming land, power or DTR, relation behavior, protected worlds, homes, faction limits, and territory protection.
config.yml for shared behavior and license key.
config/main.conf for legacy-compatible core options.
config/permissions.conf for core permission behavior.
features.yml for hard feature switches.
commands.yml for command exposure.
permissions.yml for server-level faction action overrides.
1. Choose power or DTR-style land control.
2. Set starting power, max power, death loss, regeneration, or DTR values.
3. Set claim costs, claim limits, faction member limits, faction name rules, and relation limits.
4. Review wilderness, safezone, warzone, and faction territory interaction behavior.
5. Configure protected worlds and worlds where claiming is allowed.
6. Review default faction actions before players create factions.
7. Run /f config validate.
8. Create two factions on a private staging server and verify claims, overclaiming, protection, homes, and relations.

/f dtrMembership and chunk ownership should persist after restart. Enemy protection should follow your selected model. Players should receive clear messages when a claim, overclaim, relation, or protected-world action is blocked.
